Responsibilities
· Install, configure, and test biomedical equipment such as patient monitors, infusion pumps, ventilators, and diagnostic devices.
· Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose equipment malfunctions using specialized tools and testing instruments.
· Perform preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability, accuracy, and compliance with manufacturer standards.
· Repair or replace defective components, calibrate devices, and verify proper performance before returning equipment to service.
· Maintain detailed service logs, maintenance schedules, calibration records, and compliance documentation.
· Ensure all biomedical equipment meets safety, regulatory, and quality control requirements.
· Provide technical support to clinical staff on equipment operation and basic troubleshooting.
· Collaborate with manufacturers, vendors, and service providers to coordinate warranty repairs or obtain replacement parts.
· Respond promptly to equipment failure or urgent service requests in patient care areas.
· Assist in evaluating new biomedical technologies and preparing equipment for clinical use.
· Follow strict infection control, electrical safety, and hospital technical standards during all tasks.
· Train other technicians or healthcare staff on proper equipment handling and maintenance procedures.
